SVANTE KARLSSON
Svante Karlsson began his musical journey in the late 1980s as a member of the band Bourbon Street. In 1992, he started working as a songwriter and later joined Waterwhirl, a side project by Gyllene Tider’s Mats MP Persson.
His solo debut, “American Songs”, showcased his Americana-inspired style, which continued with the 2003 album “Autograph”. His Swedish-language solo debut, “Inga träd får växa till himlen”, was released in 2007. However, it wasn’t until 2010, with the radio hit “Kommer aldrig mer igen” from his album “Tro inte att du känner mig” that he gained wider recognition.
Karlsson’s live performances have always been a core part of his career, reflected in the release of the live album “Live 2012”. His 2016 album, “Föremål som kan orsaka brand eller annan skada”, further solidified his place in the Swedish music scene.
Since 2019, he has been part of the country rock trio Jukeclock 500. As a versatile songwriter and producer, Karlsson has worked with various artists, while also fronting several Bob Dylan tribute projects. He has also written scripts for stage shows in Gothenburg and Halmstad, demonstrating his wide-ranging creative talents.
