OLOF WALLBERG

Olof Wallberg has always been a member of a band (The Men, Fight Family) or of a comedy troupe (Varanteatern). Recently Olof’s long held desire to express his own unique vision musically, lyrically and visually has blossomed into a full-scale solo endeavor. It is finally time for Olof Wallberg to come clean!

Writing his songs, Olof is searching for a common 'we'. Of a neighbourhood, a place of work or a 'we' of society! Being a citizen is Olof’s greatest passion – and this is apparent in his solo work.

Olof records and produces his songs with recording artist and producer Carl-Johan Fogelklou (Mando Diao, ONEeye). Together they find arrangements and sounds integrating this century with the last. By merging different musical eras and genres Olof supplies us with a style attempting to provide a more profound cultural meaning for the listener.

For Olof the auditory and the visual are forever intertwined. Often a song develops simultaneously with a visual idea. Together the message becomes stronger or clearer. We can therefore expect a video with every song released on the upcoming album.

Experiencing Olof Wallberg on stage is a nerve wracking “in the moment” experience! You (and probably he) can never be sure of what will happen next. This is precisely where Olof's ambition lies: in a delicate flight together with the audience, creating something of value in the moment, as one citizen to another - before we're gone.
